Good Energies Alliance Ireland (GEAI) is an Environmental NGO based in Leitrim, Ireland. Through research, advocacy, education and campaigning, GEAI works to supports the transition to renewable energy resources and uses in Ireland.
DOOR SOCIETY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT DESIGN, DOOR’s mission is the promotion of sustainable development principles in all segments of society, at the local, regional and national level, primarily in the field of energy. DOOR’s vision is a society competent in sustainable energy, in which the public takes part in delivering, monitoring and evaluating public policies, and energy plays an important role in social, economic and ecological development and decreasing poverty.
DOOR operates within the two program areas: 1.) Energy and climate, 2.) Energy and society. DOOR’s main activities are awareness rising, education and policy work and its main topics are renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, energy poverty, climate change mitigation and rural development.
LEGAMBIENTE ASSOCIAZIONE ONLUS is a non-profit association born in 1980. The mission of the association is to make the environmental culture the centre of a new kind of development and diffused well-being. Important values for the association are the improvement of environmental quality, the fight against all forms of pollution, a wise use of natural resources, the construction of a more balanced relationship between human beings and the nature. Spreading those values could be an effective way to respond to the challenges of our time: the modernization of the economy, the commitment to beat unemployment, the struggle for peace and against all forms of discrimination and social injustice, the effort to consider globalization not only as a mere trading of goods but also as a means to improve quality of life and to give rights to billions of men and women forced to live in poverty.
YOUTH WORK IRELAND GALWAY is a voluntary organisation with Charitable Status. We work with young people, families, communities and statutory organisations to provide developmental youth work opportunities for 10-25 year olds in Galway City and County. In 2014, we provided services to over 5000 young people. We support volunteer-led youth clubs and staff-led youth projects. Some services are open to all young people and others are targeted at young people experiencing adversity in their lives. Youth Work Ireland Galway is one of 22 members youth services of Youth Work Ireland.
